“This piece is a newsprint pamphlet for Spectrum Dance Theater’s 2011-2012 season of performances based on love. The pamphlet unfolds three times to reveal show information, and unfolds a fourth time to reveal a promotional poster used by the Seattle-based non-profit for advertising. The visuals mimic the arteries of a heart, while conceptually conveying love as a twisted, invasive force that the director sought to express through dance. The graphic language of the pamphlet was also translated into other forms of advertising for the dance group.”
