Is the portfolio required?

Yes, a sample of work and an interview (in person or by phone) are required for acceptance into this program.

When is the deadline?

Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2017. You can apply online.

Is this a credit course?

Yes, 3 graduate studio credits.

How much graphic design experience do I need?

The more the better; however, final projects can be accomplished in a variety of media—typography, photography, collage, and digital media.

What kind of equipment should I bring?

A laptop is required to do the coursework. A digital camera is recommended.

Is there financial aid or scholarship available?

Financial aid or scholarships are not available for this program.

What is included in the tuition?
Tuition includes individual accommodations at three-star hotel, continental breakfast, workshops, guided tours, museum admissions, and all program receptions.

Are flights included in the tuition?
You are responsible for your own flight arrangements.

Will I be sharing a room?
All rooms are single occupancy.

Do we get to pick the accommodations that are available?

Accommodations are based on first-come, first-served basis.

Where is the hotel located?

Ideally located, the Hotel Santa Chiara sits directly behind the famous Pantheon in Rome's historic centre and is within walking distance to the classroom.

Are we required to go to all classes, workshops and visits?

Classes, workshops, and site visits are all part of the program and we expect participants to attend everything.

How are we getting around in Italy?

Transportation to site visits and museums are included in the cost of tuition. Participants are responsible for all other transportation.

Air Travel

Participants are responsible for their own flight arrangements. Please book your flights once you have been notified by the program director. Please reserve your flights so you arrive on Sunday, June 11 and depart Sunday, June 25, 2017 . We will not provide rooms for any extra days in Italy.

Accommodations

A three-star hotel has been reserved for participants. Ideally located, the Hotel Santa Chiara sits directly behind the famous Pantheon in Rome’s historic centre. Participants will have their own spacious single room that comes with complete amenities including a small refrigerator, safe deposit box, and HDTV. Wireless, laundry, and concierge service available. A full breakfast is served every morning. Tuition includes hotel.
