Developed in Allan Chochinov's Designing in 3 Dimensions class, Block Party is a kit that will help users throw a non-partisan, pre-caucus, neighborhood block party. It will be distributed by both the Democratic and Republican parties. The kit contains a variety of materials, including: a guide to throwing a pre-caucus block party, yard signs for advertising, icebreaker buttons, and 'neighborhood views' cards to be given to the delegates that are elected at the caucus meeting. This is done in the hopes that in having the views of their neighborhood, delegates will be more prone to vote the views of the people they represent instead of special interests. The overall goal is to bring politics back to the members of the community and to help people participate politically in their own neighborhood.
