Exchanged glances on the subway. Brief encounters at a bar. Fleeting moments of flirtation that leave us all wondering…what if…? Every day, hundreds of “Missed Connections” posts are updated to Craigslist, expressing sentiments of desire, loss, hope, and curiosity. There is a shared universal human experience that comes out of these anonymous posts, and through the persona of “Mrs. Connection,” Cristina and I decided to spread the love through the gift of a flower — an icon of romance. The form — playing off the old childhood game of fateful futures— was letterpressed and contained secret Craigslist posts inside to delight the Brooklyn subway riders privy to our renegade bouquet.
