I chose to focus on the Bedford Subway station commuters in Brooklyn. My intention was to raise awareness for the sponsorship of children in need by doing an installation on Bedford Ave, continuing along the way to the station.
The images of the sleeping kids are not over emotional or morbid as they are not crying out for help, or seem distress in any way. The emotional impact comes exclusively out of the context in which they are placed.
