Product Design.
Western consumers are getting
more and more concerned
about the origin of the products
they are buying.
I have focused my researches
on Bhutan, one of the most
isolated nations in the world.
In the West, Bhutan enjoys a
great reputation as being a
unique country which takes
great measures to preserve
it’s identity and environment.
It is also regarded as a luxury
destination as tourists are
limited to 20.000 per year,
with an individual tourism tax
of $250 /day.
The Loden Foundation
helps young Bhutanese
entrepreneurs to improve
their livelihood through micro
credit, supporting production
of traditional products.
By teaming up with the Loden
Foundation I have developed
a line of exclusive fair trade
product from Bhutan aimed
at Western consumers. This
premium “Bhutanese Brand”
reflects the traditional values
and craftsmanship of Bhutan.
