MFA Design - Information Session
The School of Visual Arts’ MFA Design program, a two year intensive, prepares students to excel as designers and “authors” of original ideas and unique products, using a wide range of media and media platforms.
Building on fluency in graphic design and typography, the Designer as Author (or Content Creator) program stimulates the independent creation of ideas, with the goal of transforming designers into design entrepreneurs. The result is a designer who conceives and creates objects (and products) of value.
SVA MFA Designer as Author is ranked as one of Business Week’s “World’s Best Design Schools” and in U.S. News & World Report’s “Top Ten Graduate Schools: Graphic Design.”
