About Karin

Karin has been working in design since graduating in 2002 from Washington University in St. Louis. Originally from Chicago, she spent 5 years working as a Senior Print Designer, after which she taught Communication Design at her alma mater while working independently for 2 years.

Now in SVA’s grad program, Karin spends a good amount of time overcomplicating in the pursuit of simplifying… but rather enjoys the process of that roundabout way. She is interested in collaborations; especially with storytellers, dissidents, naturalists, eccentrics, tinkerers, pontificators, scientists, and other makers of “things.”

Karin is currently enjoying the view from her window, happy to have escaped from the studio for a short while.
