Raina (Rui) Huang is a multidisciplinary designer and illustrator based in New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently attending the School of Visual Arts to earn her Masters in Design. Born in Shanghai, raised in Tokyo, and later in Ohio along with multiple other cities, she was introduced to many different cultures, and has mastered three different languages at the same time. She fueled her passion for art at a young age and her work is influenced by many of her past experiences living in different places and nostalgic memories. Up until freshman year in college, her work was mainly fine art based (drawing and painting). She has won a number of awards in fine arts ranging from national to international. She is willing to work outside of her comfort zone and is passionate about creating new things.
