Meet The Students: Julia Marsh

Sep 27 2017

Hi there! I’m a designer from California, specializing in art direction, typography, editorial layout, and user experience. My particular interests are in the ways design can be used as a tool for positive social change. Before joining the MFA Design program, I worked in San Francisco for two startups, freelanced for numerous businesses and organizations, and ran three publications in Santa Barbara.

Featured above is The Catalyst Literary Arts Magazine, which I co-founded in 2013 and directed for 3 years. The Catalyst is a student-run collective that produces a submission-based quarterly publication, as well as a design and writing course, and music and arts events.

Outside of art and design, my biggest loves are the outdoors, world travel, family, and flowers.
