Yanz Zeng MFAD ‘16, has never been content with graphic design just as visual art, she is fascinated by using design to solve problems and bring new ideas to life.

Keeping the golden rule: creating something she deeply associated with in mind, she started her first long-term project, CHAIMI in her thesis year.

As a designer, especially in the SVA MFA Design Program, iteration is a part of life. After graduation, she consistently tested and refined her thesis venture. So far, CHAIMI has brought more than 200 people to the table and it has evolved from a thesis project to real community venture.

“I have always been fascinated by using design to solve real world problems and now I am happy to invite you all to share my vision”, says Zeng.
