A Toast to Faculty, Feast, and Fellowship
In the bustling life of New York City, near the architectural marvel of the Flatiron building, Spring Semester faculty instructors from the MFA Design department found a moment of tranquility and camaraderie. At a charming Italian restaurant, the event was not just a lunch; it was a celebration of collective intellect, diverse perspectives, and the joy of being together.
The conversation covered topics that ranged from the transformative potential of AI in education to the ongoing selection process for the incoming students next year.
Beyond the professional discourse, the lunch was a valuable opportunity for faculty to strengthen their strong sense of community within the department, where individuals could find support, understanding, and friendship, and provided a welcome respite from the demands of academic life and administrative duties.
In attendance were Steven Heller, Lita Talarico, Sue Walsh, Ada Whitney, Amy Wang, Deborah Adler, Warren Lehrer, Jane Fujita, Allan Chochinov, Janine Toro, Todd Carroll, and Veronika Golova
