It was over in a flash. Two weeks of intensive Rome-ing. Learning about the origins of letters and type. And on the final Saturday the workshop participants presented the type-inspired concepts at La Sapienza. There were some stunning, clever and witty examples of conceptual ingenuity and typographic passion from alphabets to apps to type-based dishes and playing cards. Stay tuned for an online exhibit of the work.
That evening a banquet worthy of Ceasar was held near the Roman Forum. Such a wonderful end to a great group’s hard yet invigorating work.
