Meet The Class of 2016: Yaxin Bai
For the next couple of weeks we introduce members of the Class of 2016 and an example of their favorite work prior to entering MFAD.
Meet: Yaxin Bai, Chongqing,China
“I am fascinated by how geometry and lines in combination can always create a dynamic and hypnotic effect,” says Bai (as she likes to be called). “Within simple elements to create new stuff from them has always excited me. Geometry and lines are the oldest “language” in human history and what interests me is how simple the elements are and how they can convey large information.
Font Fractal is inspired by visuals of outer space. Human beings tend to communicate with high intelligence with symbols for years we put visual messages on Voyager 1 now these messages have been send out of the solar system. Therefore, this font is a combination of lines and circles composed in a symbolic way.”
