From Idea to Market: Entrepreneurial Options
Announcing the second Summer workshop by Lita Talarico: From Idea to Market: Entrepreneurial Options. July 8 – 19 (10am-3pm mon-fri).
Design entrepreneurship is a viable option for designers who have the means-talent and technology-to create products for the marketplace. But a good idea is just an idea if it goes unrealized. It takes expertise to take it to the next step. During this two-week hands-on workshop you will be introduced to many entrepreneurial options-both commercial and social and will be guided through the process of transforming your ideas into valuable opportunities. We will identify procedures and strategies that will help you give form to your idea, prepare a pitch, develop a business plan, perfect a presentation and identify stakeholders, partners and funders. Guest faculty will include experts in entrepreneurship and branding, sourcing, business practices and legal protection, marketing, and licensing. Final projects presented to guest critics will provide students with the fundamental concepts and tools to develop and send their products to market. Read more and register here.
