“What can an Indian solar energy company teach MFA design students in the U.S.?” writes Julie Lasky in her recent ChangeObserver article. “Judging from the work produced last fall in Allan Chochinov’s Design in Three Dimensions class at New York’s School of Visual Arts, the answer is a supple way to approach social problems in a wide spectrum of sizes, types and locales.
“Chochinov’s class began by studying SELCO, a Rockefeller Foundation–funded case study on design and social enterprise that was produced for the Yale School of Management with the assistance of Winterhouse Institute.”
