This Monday at MFAD, we were pleasantly surprised by a visit from Michael Kao, a notable alumni from the Class of 2021, now making his mark in LA’s design industry. He arrived bearing gifts of cheesecake and an assortment of Taiwanese snacks. The gathering was a perfect mix of relaxed and insightful, as Michael reconnected with Co-chairs Lita and Steve, and the DO Veronika, and engaged with current students.

His conversation was heartfelt, reflecting on SVA’s significant influence on his design journey. He inspired current students to embrace challenges and failures as opportunities for growth within this nurturing environment.
