ICOGRADA’s OPTIMISM conference in Brisbane has come to an end, leaving in its wake the record of some fascinating talks on “Design Thinking,” social networking and personal inspiration.

The event proved to be an effective way to spread the notion of design entrepreneuerism and share ideas with like minded designers.

The featured speakers, in addition to MFAD’s co-chairs, were Marc Alt, founder of Marc Alt + Partners, a design, research and strategy agency dedicated to sustainability and social innovation; Rabia Gupta, one of the pioneers of graphic design in India; Mimmo Cozzolino, Australian graphic designer and co-author of “Symbols of Australia;” Paul Hughes, based in Amsterdam where he is a strategic director and partner of Lava, the creative strategic design agency; Jason Fan, founder of Signet Design in Taiwan, combining local spirits with global vision.
