Doug Jaeger and Kristin Sloan are driven by a constant desire to learn and improve the world around them, and they created The Reset Club with the aim of creating a platform for conscious getaways, quality furnishings and supplies, and fulfilling life experiences.
“Our professional lives have been dedicated to merging design and technology for the benefit of other humans. Since becoming homeowners ourselves, we’ve been obsessed with learning and experimenting with how to create and maintain ideal environments for people to get closer to what matters to them—family, friends, creative pursuits, business innovation, nature, introspection—while also benefiting the local community.”
Part brand strategy, part creative production company their JaegerSloan Studio develops communications approaches for clients including Samsung, ABC/Disney, and New York City Ballet, among many others.
I love the cross-pollination between different areas of practice. Personally, I’ve experienced this transition myself, starting in fashion and now exploring the graphic design world. This resonates deeply with me because what I’m learning in graphic design directly enhances my fashion interests, from print design to brand building. I see this multidisciplinary approach as a powerful catalyst for unlocking potential and improving any creative practice. —Aimee Chang (Class of 2026)
From Doug and Kristin’s presentation, I took away the importance of reputation and clear communication, especially around deadlines and budgets. As they mentioned, clients’ customers can change these, but it’s crucial to convey that the value of the work will make it worth the investment. Understanding the business side and being transparent about challenges helps build trust and ensures successful outcomes. As a designer, this approach is just as important for managing client relationships. —Jiaqi Sun (Class of 2026)
