Hanging On Every Word

Feb 08 2016

Kavita Ramchandran (MFAD 03) of Make Believe Design Studio | NYC recently teamed up with Literary Safari, an indie educational content company to illustrate a kid’s app called HangArt – a learning game that puts an creative twist on the classic word game Hangman.

“Being mindful of ‘diversity’ as the elephant in the room and need of the hour in children’s media,” Kavita says, “HangArt’s animated illustrations were created to act as ‘sliding glass doors, windows, and mirrors’ for children, reflecting the rich history, culture and diversity of our world today.”

The app will be a featured app in the Google Play store’s family section at the end of the month and has been getting ++ reviews thus far.

“We think HangART has amazing potential to and hope you feel that way too. If you have friends who are parents, teachers, educators, or librarians, please do share this information with them,” she says.
