Meet The Class of 2013: Jenny Rozbruch

Sep 12 2011

Jenny Rozbruch was born and raised in New York City. She moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University, where she earned her BA in Art Theory & Practice with a minor in Business. After trying her hand in the gallery world, Jenny quickly realized that her true calling was graphic design and went on to work as a Designer at HarperCollins Children’s Books for the past 5 years.

She’s thrilled to be in the SVA MFA Design program – and though she recently stopped drinking coffee, she has a feeling she may need to start up again.

Favorite work:
“‘The Biological Clock, 2010’ This project examines the physical and personal life cycle of the female as prescribed by traditional social norms — from puberty to sex, love, marriage, and motherhood. Made from a working clock, its hand follows a timeline of personal milestones that many women feel pressure to achieve according to schedule, and aims to poke fun at these unrealistic expectations.”
