Meet The Class of 2013: Marcie Lawrence
Marcie Lawrence graduated from Wesleyan University with BA in Sociology. She has a line of graphic greeting cards and has done several freelance projects. Most recently she worked as an art director for the startup non profit magazine Urban Go Green, and taught an editorial design class with Harlem youth at The Harlem Children’s Zone.
After taking “an amazing CE class on editorial design” at SVA last summer, she made the decision to try for a Masters in Graphic Design here. Her favorite work involves bold typography.

“This is a free sustainable lifestyle magazine designed for said SVA Continuing Education Class. The magazine, entitled “Re:UP”, put an urban spin on sustainability and was intended for city dwellers, it covered topics from books to art, fashion, DIY, and more.”
