Meet the Class of 2013: Nada Seet
Nada Seet is a Saudi designer. Her aim is to explore design in every possible way. She loves to be challenged. Challenge helps her to find solutions faster. Most of Nada’s talents are not design related, yet still, they shape her personality and the way she works.
Finally, Nada’s obsession with typography has grown tremendously the past few years and she hopes by the end of her graduate years she will learn what she needs in order to be the best at what she loves the most.
Favorite work:
“‘Taqweem Font’ – Arabic calligraphy is relatively complex in its structure which is the cause of many problems one faces when applying it to a grid. Thus, there is a shortage in the variety of Arabic fonts and typefaces that are properly formatted for use on the computer.
The concept behind the font came from the simple idea of using the first later of each day in Arabic to create the grid for a week. Taqweem – means calendar.”
