Zhao Miao from Beijing, “can’t do anything but art. And I also like music so much. I learned graphic design from BNU back in China, and met a really talented designer Yuan Dan. She taught me a lot! To be here in SVA is because I want to go out and see the world, and make friends from different places, And Stefan Sagmeister is my favorite designer.”

“Miao in SVA now, a lonely boy in a big city, it’s ok, just like the old days in Beijing. But I’m glad to meet the fabulous teachers and classmates. And the multiple culture in New York is cooool.”

Favorite work:
“The first one which has a big red background is a work presenting the huge pressure for the young students. The second one is that I use my face and some casual graffiti to express my emotion everyday, so it’s kind of a dairy for myself.”
