“The goal of this project was to highlight the design aesthetics of a known designer by producing a set of stamps and a magazine. Choosing Kurt Schwitters, I’ve created a collage out of my personal collection of tickets, postcards, letters, and magazines, and transformed it into 4 U.S. stamps that celebrate Schwitters’ earlier work of collages. The magazine on the other hand, called attention to his later work of the Merz periodicals and particularly the 11th issue, which was dedicated to advertising typography.”
