Meet the Class of 2014: Hena Seo
Oct 02 2013
Our series continues where the Class of 2014 tells “What I made this Summer.”
This summer, I had the opportunity to actually make two things that I have been obsessed with,” exclaims Hena Seo, “perfume and paper. My number one priority for my long trip to Europe this summer was to visit Grasse, a region in southern France that serves as the world’s hub for all sorts of ingredients for perfume. In particular, I visited a well-known perfumery called Garlimard in Eze Village, and at this beautiful town, I made my very first perfume with a professional perfumer’s help.I also made paper at the paper museum in Basel, Switzerland, along with other graphic design students. It was fascinating to be exposed to hand-made paper and old lettering.”
