Meet the Class of 2014: Kimberly McGuire
Our series continues where the Class of 2014 tells “What I made this Summer.”
“This summer brought many unforgettable experiences from Princeton, New Jersey to London, England,” says Kimberly McGuire. “I had the opportunity to intern at PlayLab where I worked on several fun projects—creating illustrations for Howler Magazine and Clog and helping with their side project, Plus Pool. I traveled to London and attended Typography Summer School where I worked with many amazing people from Iceland to Australia. But most importantly, my dear friend, one of the few people I have known my whole life got married in Princeton, New Jersey. For her wedding gift I wanted to give her more than adding to her “Honey Fund.” Through handcraft and design (and love), I created a package that they can use in the future to look back on their special day. A wooden box with the bride and groom’s names etched on top reveals custom coasters and personalized stationary. Jessica and John, married August 24, 2013.”
