Meet the Class of 2015: Marjorie Lin
For the next couple of weeks will we introduce the graduates-to-be, the class of 2015 and what they consider the best work of the past year.
Meet: Marjorie Lin, Arcadia, California
“If I panic, I will drown is a short video that encompassed a life lesson and observation I had (and still have) about myself that was completed last year for Stefan Sagmeister’s class,” says Majorie Lin. “I intended to build something that was way out of my reach (and very different from what was finally produced) and as my deadline came closer, I was felt further and further from completion. As soon as I came to terms with the fact that I was swimming in my own unproductive and panic-driven thoughts, this video was created. But for cutting scenes together, no other special effects were rendered. All visual effects were created in-camera with light, stencils, and a glass of water.”
