Each year at the start of the first semester we ask our new students to say a few words about one or more favorite projects.

My initial idea was to bring motion into packaging. Therefore comes the “Infinite Loop”, an album packaging project featuring moiré effect and glitch art.

When the record is drawn out of the outer cover, a six-frame animated glitch art image can be seen. The animated image will repeat itself over and over until the record is fully drawn out of the outer cover. (The video link is provided here https://vimeo.com/243512837)

Electronic music, one of my favorite music genres, inspired me to apply glitch art to the inner cover of the album because they are all based on the malfunction of devices or instruments, follow no particular patterns, and give the audience a sense of futuristic feeling.
