Raven Mo(’24) in Ode to NYC Poster Campaign
Every year, NYCxDESIGN’s own Ode to NYC poster campaign invites New Yorkers and visitors around the world to experience the joy and possibilities of New York City through the eyes of leading and emerging designers with An Ode to NYC.
This poster series taps into the expansive design ecosystem of the city, reflecting the heartbeat of the ever-changing design scene.
One of our current MFA Design students, Raven Mo (’24), was invited to be a part of the poster campaign along with nine other designers for the campaign this year. Her poster “City Flourish” is an ode to NYC’s 1,359 native species. The poster captures the intricate dance of NYC’s native plants and insects thriving in our urban landscape. It is a drawing to celebrate the resilience of these often-overlooked critters in our urban ecosystem. In this illustration that includes 27 native species found in urban ecosystems across NYC, the piece invites you to appreciate the delicate harmony that grows amidst the concrete jungle, a reminder of the importance of conserving native plants and insects.
You can purchase Raven’s poster along with the rest of the campaign posters at Poster House, and read more about it on their online shop: https://shop.posterhouse.org/raven-mo-city-flourish.html
