May 30 2015

The morning began with a lecture by Milan-based type historian James Clough that ties together the evolution of the Roman letter from Trajan to the masters, like Bodoni. Then in an intensive part one workshop, participants practiced drawing letters in preparation for their typographic projects on Saturday. The hand not the computer was celebrated today.
