A shuddering thunder and drenching rain put a temporary damper on this Saturday’s Mauro Zennaro talk and walk. Well, at least the walk. The talk about the origins of Western lettering was inspiring, and long enough to see a brief cessation to the downpour. For a few moments, students were able to visit the ancient inscription at the Museo dell’Ara Pacis and the Fascist typographic reliefs and mosaics at La Piazza del Gusto, but making their rubbings were not in the forecast.
