Spielman in Quarantine

Mar 02 2010

Alumna Amanda Spielman (MFAD ’07), together with her brother Jordan Spielman, participated in Landscapes of Quarantine, an eight-week interdisciplinary design studio held in the Fall of 2009. The studio members met to discuss the spatial implications of quarantine, developing individual creative responses. Spielman’s project, NYCQ, is a tongue-in-cheek campaign that communicates with people during a hypothesized future quarantine in NYC to instruct them on how to go about their lives while remaining physically and emotionally calm and healthy. Work from the studio will be on display at Storefront for Art and Architecture from March 10 until April 17, 2010.
