Book Design: All Plants & Trees Have Spirits
In Chinese culture, the relationship between humans and nature is emphasized as a harmonious coexistence rather than merely an interaction based on interests, reflecting a reverence and respect for nature. I am focused on exploring the interdependence between humans and nature, paying special attention to the central role of agricultural culture in this relationship. Agricultural culture is not just a part of daily life, but also a manifestation of the Chinese people’s deep understanding and respect for the land and nature. My goal is to explore the impact of this lifestyle on our modern life by studying the way humans coexist with nature, combined with anecdotes from traditional Chinese culture. I create a narrative book around themes such as the Spring Sacrifice, Rain Prayer, Fuxi, and Lantern Lighting, presenting this cultural concept and practice through a combination of narrative and visual art.
