Today the MFAD first year students visit one of New York’s most successful design entrepreneurs, Peter Buchanan-Smith (MFAD ’00) at his Best Made products headquarters. PBS, as he is known, spent many years as an editorial and fashion art director before launching Best Made Co. with a series of custom designed axes. This evolved into a full brand line of outdoors accessories and clothing. He exemplifies the Designer As Author + Entrepreneur ethos through his sustainable business based on exceptional design.
