Summer Workshops
This intensive workshop included up-and-coming design entrepreneurs not only from America but also from Brazil, Guatemala, The Phillipines, and Barcelona. For two-weeks participants went through the rigorous process of transforming their ideas into valuable products for the marketplace. Expert guests in the fields of marketing, business, licensing, research and entrepreneurism conducted workshops concluding with a final presentation to a panel of critics. Products ranged from an app for gift giving and receiving, kids toys made from carpenters’ scraps, a line of paper goods that celebrate traditional patterns of Guatemala, an emergency kit for kids, and an app to help people maintain a healthy and well balanced diet.
