The Digital Product Evolution

Mar 24 2011

Coming up with a “brand new” digital product or experience is no easy challenge. “Once one has a concept it’s a good idea to see if something similar exists already,” says MFA Digital products teacher, Andy Pratt. He asks the first year students in his Crossing Disciplines class to visualize their competitive landscapes in order to see where their products will fit into the market. Here’s a sampling of what they’ve created:

From top to bottom:

Bruno Zalum – Concept: Evolve and enhance the NYC taxi ride.

Melissa Gorman – Concept: Connect local producers with wholesale buyers

Michael Croxton – Concept: Help men personalize and stylize their wardrobe

Sebastian Ebarb – Concept: Create an experience that helps people with dyslexia
