Timothy Cohan’s Rome Sketchbook 1

May 28 2013

By Timothy Cohan

This is an snapshot from my sketchbook after my first drawing in Rome yesterday. I had lunch at a restaurant across from the Pantheon and couldn’t help but sketch the columns on the northeast corner. Today was the official program kickoff which included an orientation presentation from Lita and Esther followed by a lecture on Typology from Steve Heller. Afterwards a group of us set out to explore the city. Highlights included lunch for under 3 Euros, Pincio Gardens, The Spanish Steps, and the Capuchin Crypt. It was an inspiring day and I look forward to more of it all tomorrow.
