Two of MFAD’s guest lecturers, Michael Bierut and Matthew Carter, are quoted in Alice Rawsthorn’s “Mistakes in Typography Grate the Purists” on the front page of Sunday’s The New York Times website. The story focuses on typographic gaffs in real and fictional life. Here’s a sampling: “I think sometimes that being overly type-sensitive is like an allergy,” said Michael Bierut. . . “My font nerdiness makes me have bad reactions to things that spoil otherwise pleasant moments.”
