Professional Experience

Randy Hunt is an American designer, executive, artist, author, and musician. He has worked professionally in design for 20+ years, and for more than fifteen of those designing and building multi-sided marketplaces and their customer experiences: after a design apprenticeship with Milton Glaser, he co-founded a designer-made marketplace named Supermarket, then Etsy, followed by Artsy, and Grab (Southeast Asia’s super-app).  He is currently the Head of Design at Notion, where he leads the team designing tools for productivity and creativity. Previously he founded and directed a design studio—Citizen Scholar Inc.—that worked with clients in education, environment, arts, and social impact.

Honors and Awards

National Design Award, Corporate and Institutional Achievement Awarded by Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum for the design of Etsy. The National Design Award is the highest design honor in the United States.
New Visual Artist, Awarded by Print Magazine to the most promising rising talents in graphic design, advertising, illustration, digital media, photography, and animation.
