Get Busy

By GRACE MARIE AMICO

Misconceptions about the environmental impact of dog waste motivates getbusy—a combination of innovation and education that actuates urban and suburban dog owners to dispose their dog’s waste in the municipal sewer system.

“Get busy” is a polite phrase used to instruct dogs to defecate on command. It is also the name of an environmentally friendly pet product line that incites owners to act conscientiously about their dog’s carbon paw print. The primary product is a roll of water soluble bags that are 100% biodegradable, safe to flush down the toilet, and convenient to access during walks. The accompanying campaign, FLU SHIT, enriches the product by educating consumers on the hazardous environmental effects of current practices and on flushing as the solution.
