Spoonful

By CARLI PIERCE

spoonful is a method for inspiring people to cook with local food by breaking it down one ingredient at a time — using curiosity as an entry point.

spoonful reaches people through a magazine, blog and pop-up cooking school. The magazine is the heart of the project. Each issue of the magazine focuses on one ingredient looking at it from all angles: cooking, art, history/origin and personal relationships. The pop-up cooking school is a series of free one hour cooking workshops that take place at various locations throughout NYC. Each workshop focuses on one main ingredient. The blog introduces you to a new seasonal ingredient each week and highlights your local food community through interviews and stories.
