Touching Yellow

By MEITAL GUETA

Touching Yellow is an exhibit that focuses on the sighted community’s understanding of how the visually impaired perceive the world.

The exhibit offers an interactive experience in a gallery space that include performances, video and simulations. The space consists of six rooms, each offering a different way to perceive familiar surroundings, such as a subway station or a street, through the eyes of a blind individual, as interpreted by the designer. Touching Yellow aims to raise awareness and overcome barriers created by assumptions and prejudice by providing a platform to educate and inspire people’s imagination, senses, and thoughts about the subjects of sight and blindness.
