Esther Ro-Scofield, MFAD’s veteran administrative assistant and director of the SVA Workshop in Venice and Rome, received her MFA in Computer Art with the completion of her thesis “Dollhouse” (2010), a fine art installation of an HDTV encased within a dollhouse structure. The HDTV plays a video depicting a figure jumping and levitating in 7 different rooms. Each room was hand built in miniature, captured, and composited with live-action video.

Design Ignites Change Award

Matthew Heckart (MFAD’10) is a recipient of the 2010 Implementation Award from Design Ignites Change, a monetary grant to further his Masters Thesis “Two Wings.”

“Two Wings” is a creative campaign produced by an international team of animators, designers and musicians, to advocate for LGBT refugees and asylum seekers. Partnering with ORAM (Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration).
